Games : Playstation 2 : Full Game : English
Included is Tales of the Abyss with a Japanese voice track and English subtitles.   This cures the
silent skits issue, and also gives you the extremely well-performed original voice track. Only the final anime cutscene
scene in the game does not have subs, so I've included the last episode of the Anime which is the same spoken scene and
does have subs.

I didn't make the patch, BTW.   I'm just uploading this because it deserves it.

I
recommend having an Intel Core i5 @ 3ghz or greater for best results if using PCSX2.    Here's a copypaste of the readme
file I wrote for that:

To install pcsx2, extract it via 7zip.

Install VC++ Redistributable.  It is
included here, but you can also grab it off the Microsoft website.  I think you need the 2013 version.

Tales
of the Abyss works best on these settings:

BIOS - Any USA BIOS, IE 2.2.   You can copy the bio folder into
the PCSX2 folder.

EE/IOP - Recompiler, Recompiler, Chop/Zero, Normal
VUs -
Recompiler, Recompiler, Chop/Zero, Normal
GS - uncheck "frame limiting disabled", frame skipping
disabled
GS Window Aspect Ratio - Standard (4:3), Zoom - 101.5%, Always Hide Mouse Cursor, Hide Window when paused,
default to full screen, double click toggles fullscreen.
Speedhacks - Uncheck Enable Speedhacks

GS - GSdx with AVX
PAD - Lilypad Svn (make sure it's the svn, as
this supports PS3 controller)

Video
Adaptor - Make sure this is
Nvidia or Radeon - not Intel HD Graphics
Renderer - Direct3D9 (Hardware), but you can play around with Direct3D11
(Hardware) too.

Scaling @ 2X Native - this is what makes it look nicer.   Otherwise it looks like a jaggy PS2
Game.. and you might as well just play it on your PS2.  If your graphics card can handle it, hike it up to the maximum,
just remember that if you have slow framerates, this is your bottleneck.

Texture Filtering Checked.
Logarithmic Z and Alpha Correction checked.

Latency - ~125ms is fine
Synchronizing Mode - Put this
on Async Mix, otherwise it will be really laggy on some cutscenes unless your CPU will run the game at a true 100%.  

Audio Expansion Mode - Stereo
Everything else unchecked

Pad settings - make sure to set them!

-The only real issue you should have is sometimes the game will randomly display display a glowy ghost image
effect of the characters etc.      Just press F9 on keyboard to put the rendering into the ugly software mode, and then
F9 again to return to Hardware mode, where the ghosting should go away.     THere's no other real fix to this issue.

-The ending of the game isn't subtitled - but it's the same as the anime's ending which is included in the
folder.  

-Make sure to do the Fring's & Cecile Sidequest - it's got events which are missable very early
and it's pretty much one of the finest sidequests in all of video gaming.

-Also don't miss Natalia's Gallant
Barrage arte - you only get a short window to get it.

If you liked this game, do pick up a commercial copy.
