Description
This is a story about two homeless brothers, Zana (7 years) and Dana (10), who live on the edge of survival. They have a glimpse of Superman through a hole in the wall at the local cinema, then decided to leave his Kurdish village and go to America believing that, once there, the superhero can solve all your problems. Zana begins to make a list of people he will ask Superman punish (at the top of the list is Saddam Hussein). Dana, on the other hand, think about what they need to get there: money, passports, transportation and a way to cross the border. Unfortunately, they do not have any of that. Thanks to your hard work as shoe shiners can raise enough money to buy a donkey (they call Michael Jackson) and with which they decide to leave to fulfill his dream. Behind this captivating odyssey is an intimate portrait of the Kurdish conflict in Iraq. The director Karzan Kader said the intention of his film: "Kurdistan is at war for so long that it has become the normal state there.
